Our Purpose as a church is to lead people to know and love Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. This is true even with our little ones. Our goal is to provide our children with age-appropriate lessons that teach them about God. Whether it is through songs, puppets, storybooks, crafts, puzzles, cooking, or creative play, our entire staff and volunteers are here not only to instruct and educate, but to provide a fun and safe environment as well.
Preschool: Marafiki Land
Bible and Life application is taught to babies through Kindergarten using a variety of age-appropriate learning activities. The children can attend Sunday school one hour and learn to worship in extended care any given Sunday Morning. Preschoolers participate in a variety of fun, Bible learning programs while their parents attend church activities and worship services.
In order to provide a safe and professional level of childcare, our Preschool staff members are all held to a very high standard. They have been interviewed carefully and a background check has been done on each person. Regular training is required of them as well. The volunteers who teach your child are adults who are members of our church who have filled out a volunteer application and have had a background check done.
Classes are offered for Preschoolers during all Sunday morning, Sunday Evening and Wednesday night services. Childcare is also provided for parents who want to work in various ministries of our church or attend scheduled bible studies.
The name AWANA is derived from the first letters of Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed which is based on our theme verse 2 Timothy 2:15. Our club is made up of separate groups including 2 year olds who are known as “Puggles”, preschoolers ages 3&4 known as “Cubbies”, Kindergarten through Second grade known as “Sparks” and third grade through sixth grade known as “T&T”.
The clubs are held on Wednesday evening’s from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. during September to May. We have made a commitment to running a program where children learn what it means to be like Jesus from the study of the Bible and observing leaders who seek to follow Jesus themselves.
Our Awana club has tripled in size since its establishment in August of 2006. We offer several fun and exciting themes each month, an Awana Grand Prix, and a family oriented Awards Program in which we honor all the hard work each child has completed throughout the whole club year. Games, music, Bible Stories and Bible memory are all part of making Awana one of the highlights of your child’s week.

Children look forward to this summer program where they get to experience various Bible based activities. Things such as crafts, games, missions and Bible studies, snacks, memory verse activities and music all work together around a specific theme geared to learning about what Jesus Christ did for all of us.
There are several other seasonal programs that we offer for children to participate in which include but are not limited to Festivals, Birthday Party for Jesus, and others.
